"Happy St. Lucia Day"--12/14

First off, again a happy Birthday to Josh this week, hope all goes
well with you. Second, happy Saint Lucia Day to all of you guys back
at home. I really wish that I could be there for some of those
cinnamon rolls that Nat was talking about. This week was kinda long.
It was Elder Ayim's last week on the mission, and he was ready to be
done doing missionary work. On top of all of that, we had to drop a
lot of our old investigators, because they were not progressing at
all, which means that we are looking for new investigators right now.
Yesterday we sent Elder Ayim home and now Im waiting for my new
companion. His name is Elder Mapanje, from Zimbabwe. Im told that he
is a really cool guy and Im excited to serve with him, because every
Zimbabwean that I have ever met is really cool. I have to introduce
him to all of our members and investigators this week  when he gets
here, and on top of that we are splitting my area for two new
missionaries to come and I have to introduce them to everything and
help them get ready and established for church. On top of all of that,
we are having combined unit church parties on the 18th, 14th, and the
1st. Here in Ghana, the main thing that people do on Christmas and new
years is go to church and go to parties. Because of that there is a
tradition in the Church here where they just come to the church on
those days and we have parties there, to make sure that the parties
are good for everyone. Because we have no branches, once again this
task falls on the missionaries, and so these next few weeks me and my
new companion get to spend a lot of time planning and preparing with
the other missionaries about what needs to happen for them to be a
success. Im really excited and think that it will be a lot of fun. We
are also having a mission party on the 20th here in Sunyani, because
all of the missionaries have told Pres. that they want to see what its
like here. Luckily the only thing that we need to do for that is to
clean. I think that that will be fun also. Im out of time, because Ive
got to print some things off for the parties though. I love you all
and cant wait to talk to you next week. Love Ty
