Malaria and a Broken Tooth

Hey guys, how is it going? The title was just a way to get people to read this, I hope maybe Ill get some responses from this also :-).Everything here is going great (hot, but great). We just found out that Elder Holland is coming on Feb 23 to have a conference with the mission and I am way excited. WE have interviews this week, and we also have a baptism on Saturday. The work here has been going really well. For the last couple of weeks, we have had 16 investigators at church, and on Saturday we are baptizing 11. It’s kind of funny, because I feel really guilty for having such great success, because we really are not doing anything special.

The ward here is amazing. For instance we went to one of the villages yesterday and we went to some strong member’s house and the first thing that the father tells me is that the Elder quorum pres. Just came by and that they had 4 new investigators for us. This is something that has happened quite a few times since I have been here. MPintsin ward is just amazing. Since we have been here there have not been any go less active, and it has been a really big push to get less actives back to church, so we have activated about 10 or so less actives, including the chief and his family.Mom, D&C, 50:8 (I think, I don’t have my scriptures with me so if it doesn’t make sense sorry.) Ill try and do better with my writing.

I would really like to know more about what is up with you guys though, especially about the new ward boundaries and what our ward is called, and who is in it. It sounds like you are going with Bekah to New York, but I wouldn’t know, because you haven’t said anything.Brooke, I hope that all goes well with your baby; maybe you could name it after me? There are lost of girls with the name “Elder Russell”.Jenny and Megan I hope that all goes well with your babies too. The same offer is open for all pregnant ladies.

Shelly, to answer your question, I’ve started to pick up Fante, which is one of the hardest languages on my mission, but which is one that everyone in my area speaks. I’m still not very good, but I can understand what most people are saying to me. Congrats on the jump rope contest, Ill pick up my autograph later.

Jon, I got a question about my arm. About 2 weeks ago I had about a quarter size rash on my right elbow, and I haven’t done anything to it but now it’s about the size of 2 dollar bills put together and it itches like crazy. Its no where else on my body, and the bumps are red. Any idea what it is, and how to fix it. I realize that that’s not very much info, sorry.

P.S: Derek, congratulations on getting the A’s. You are a much better student than I ever was (or maybe just a better suck-up).

PPS: Jenny I got a letter today from Julie Little, but haven’t been able to read it yet. Im excited though. Maybe if you could get her families address that would be great.
